The K830AFLWN-0.600W is a VBG wavelength-stabilized, TEC-controlled fiber-coupled laser diode delivering 600mW of Continuous Wave (CW) output power at a precisely locked center wavelength of 830nm (±0.5nm). This module represents the most spectrally pure product in the ePhotonics 830nm lineup — with a spectral width of less than 0.1nm FWHM and a temperature-dependent wavelength drift of just 0.01 nm/°C, making it among the most wavelength-stable single-emitter fiber-coupled laser diodes in the catalog. These spectral properties are essential for Raman spectroscopy, where the laser linewidth directly determines the spectral resolution and signal-to-noise ratio of Raman scattering measurements. Unlike the higher-power 830nm modules (1W and 2W) which use a simple 2-pin bare fiber package, the K830AFLWN-0.600W integrates a full closed-loop monitoring and control subsystem in a 14-pin butterfly package. The integrated TEC (Thermoelectric Cooler) with a max current of 2.2A and max voltage of 8.7V actively maintains the laser junction at a stable operating temperature, eliminating the need for an external temperature stabilization stage. The built-in thermistor (10 kΩ ±3%, β=3477 at 25°C, Pins 2 & 5) and photodiode monitor (PD, 100–1000 μA, Pins 3 & 4) provide complete feedback for both temperature and optical power control loops in OEM integration. Output is delivered through a compact 105μm core, 0.22 NA bare-end fiber in 0.9mm loose tubing with a 1-meter pigtail and 50mm minimum bending radius. The combination of VBG wavelength locking, active TEC stabilization, and integrated PD monitoring makes this module a self-contained, precision laser source engineered for demanding spectroscopic, sensing, medical, and military applications.
