The K915FA3RN-30.00W is a compact fiber-coupled laser diode delivering 30W of Continuous Wave (CW) output power at a center wavelength of 915nm (±10nm). Operating in the broad 915nm absorption band of Ytterbium-doped gain fiber, this module serves as a space- and power-supply-efficient pump source for low-to-mid power fiber laser and amplifier systems, particularly in applications where 976nm pump bandwidth sensitivity or photodarkening is a concern. The defining electrical characteristic of this module is its ultra-low operating voltage of 4.8V typical (6V maximum), one of the lowest operating voltage across the entire 915nm lineup. This places the K915FA3RN-30.00W in direct compatibility with standard 5V OEM power supply rails, dramatically simplifying power supply design in compact embedded laser systems, handheld instruments, or multi-channel pump driver boards where individual high-voltage laser driver channels are impractical. Despite this low drive voltage, the module maintains a class-leading 50% electrical-to-optical efficiency — matching the 300W module’s efficiency at a fraction of the drive complexity. Output is delivered through a 105μm core, 0.22 NA bare (no connector) fiber in 0.9mm loose tubing with a compact 1-meter pigtail and 50mm minimum bending radius. The 30dB feedback isolation band (1020–1200nm) protects the diode against back-reflected Yb laser signal wavelengths, and the 2-pin package with no optional monitoring pins keeps integration as simple as possible.
