The K940FN1RN-200.0W is a high-power fiber-coupled laser diode delivering 200W of Continuous Wave (CW) output power at a center wavelength of 940nm (±10nm). Operating in the 940nm absorption band of Ytterbium-doped gain fiber, this laser diode serves as an alternative pump wavelength to the conventional 976nm peak — offering broader pump bandwidth tolerance and reduced sensitivity to temperature-induced wavelength drift in high-power fiber laser systems. The 940nm pump wavelength provides a distinct system-level advantage: because the Yb absorption cross-section at 940nm is lower and broader than at 976nm, the pump is less susceptible to wavelength-dependent absorption saturation in heavily pumped fiber amplifiers, reducing the risk of photodarkening in certain gain fiber formulations. With a compact 135μm core fiber (0.22 NA) and FPT (fiber pigtail) termination enclosed in 1mm PTFE tubing over 180cm, this laser diode delivers high-brightness 940nm pump power in a robust, integration-ready package. With a typical electrical-to-optical efficiency of 48%, slope efficiency of 17.5 W/A, and a wide operating temperature range of 15°C to 35°C, the K940FN1RN-200.0W offers the same electrical performance benchmark as the 976nm 200W counterpart while serving the distinct requirements of 940nm-pumped fiber laser and amplifier architectures. Both fiber type and feedback isolation range are customizable per customer requirements.
