The K976BN1RN-180.0W is a wavelength-stabilized fiber-coupled laser diode delivering 180W of Continuous Wave (CW) output power at a tightly controlled center wavelength of 976nm (±1nm). Designed for fiber laser pumping, this laser diode maintains a locked wavelength across a wide operating current range of (Iop−2A) to Iop, ensuring consistent pump absorption in Ytterbium-doped double-clad gain fiber regardless of drive current fluctuations. The wavelength stabilization performance of this laser diode is exceptional: a thermal drift of only 0.02 nm/°C and a current-induced shift of just 0.03 nm/A keep the output firmly centered on the Yb absorption peak under all operating conditions. With a spectral width (FWHM) of less than 1nm, the K976BN1RN-180.0W delivers a spectrally pure pump source that maximizes absorption efficiency and minimizes wasted pump power, a critical factor in high-efficiency fiber laser and amplifier designs. The module outputs through a 200μm core diameter fiber (0.22 NA) with FPT (fiber pigtail) termination, enclosed in 0.9mm PTFE loose tubing with a total fiber length of 2 meters. With a typical electrical-to-optical efficiency of 45% and a narrow operating case temperature range of 25°C to 30°C, this laser diode is engineered for thermally controlled OEM environments where wavelength precision and pump stability are paramount.
